Chevrolet is the auto equivalent of a gene-boosted steroid-pumped feline. The ferocious cat was groomed by Swiss born racing driver Louis Chevrolet and business whiz Buick resurrector and former GM head William Durant, as a joint venture that started in 1910. Shortly after Durant was forced out of GM, he partnered with Chevrolet, whom he had previously employed at his Buick racing team, to regain the popularity he had lost.
The Chevy headquarters was set in Detroit and the newly formed brand was baptized, receiving its famous “bowtie” logo in 1913. There are several hypotheses as to how the logo design came to be, two of them being the closest to unanimous acceptance. One of the theories hints at the logo having been designed after a poster Durant had seen in a French hotel while the second claims the “bowtie” is actually a stylized representation of the Swiss flag cross.
No matter how it originated, the golden Chevy logo persisted. In fact, the brand grew at such a fast pace that it allowed Durant to regain ownership of GM in 1916. "for the price, style is here"
After having an Equinox for six months I was interested in the new 2019 Blazer. One test drive was all it took to trade up. The interior is laid out so well that you feel it was made for you. The six way adjustable driver seat can adapt to whatever size you are. Handling is smooth and the power from the 3.6 engine gives it awesome acceleration. The infotainment center is easy to operate and the interface cable to connect your phone to the system makes it very easy to make phone calls, check out maps . The steering wheel has all the controls for adjusting volume on the radio, changing channels and cruise control. So much room in the rear with the back seats folded down allows to really pack for a trip. Mileage is great. I have gotten an average of 26 with a best mileage at 35mpg. The climate controls could be a little bigger but that is a small thing.

"I switched to Chevrolet from a Honda CRV"
This is one impressive car. I purchased the Chevrolet Blazer with 6 cylinder engine. It has everything I want. Great acceleration, Great styling, Quiet engine, Well equiped, I really like the turn signals in the mirrors, push button start, blind spot monitoring, cross traffic monitoring, Continental Tires, and easy pairing of cell phone. I did not get AWD or GPS. There is nothing, I would change and for the price, a great deal to boot. You won't be disappointed.
